Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where is your office located?

I have two offices––one in Silverlake and one in Pasadena.

I primarily work out of the Silverlake office is located at: 4620a Hollywood Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90027.

I occasionally work out of the Pasadena office is located at 210 South Orange Grove Blvd 91105.

  • How long are sessions and how often do we meet?

Single sessions start at 50 minutes and clients typically come to session once per week to begin. Some clients prefer to meet more often or opt for longer sessions, which can be decided after an initial session.

Consistency is a major factor in creating lasting change and for that reason I start with weekly sessions. If that is unrealistic for you, let us know and we will figure out what a workable solution might be.

  • What can I expect in our first session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what what brings you to therapy. I will gather information about your history and background and will leave ample time for you to ask any questions that you may have.

  • What is the cost per session?

Rates start at $300/session depending on type of service and length of appointment. Payment is due at the end of each session.

Sliding scale rates may be available based on current availability and financial hardship.

We accept zelle and all major credit cards.

  • Do you take insurance?

I am an out of network provider and do not work directly with insurance. I can, however, create monthly superbills for you to submit to your insurance provider.

Every insurance carrier differs in the amount they will contribute for out-of-network providers, so I encourage you to contact your insurance company to see what their policy is based on the plan you have.

  • How long will therapy take?

This depends a great deal on the individual goals and needs of each client. For example, if a client comes in for EMDR to work through a fear of flying and nothing more, they may be in and out in under 8 sessions.

Others come to therapy for deeper work to unravel previous trauma, improve the quality of their relationship or to work on symptoms of depression or anxiety. Ultimately, it is the client’s role to decide when therapy feels complete.

I believe that self-discovery is a life-long process and encourage this as an ongoing conversation to explore when you’re feeling ready to move on. Endings can teach us a lot and I invite my clients to exit consciously.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Please let me know about cancellations at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged the session fee.
